Key Responsibilities:
- Project Financials: Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets, track actual costs against budgets, and analyze cost variances.
- Billing & Collections: Prepare and issue progress billing invoices to clients and follow up on accounts receivable to ensure healthy cash flow.
- Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices, verify purchase orders, and manage subcontractor payments and retention releases.
- Tax Compliance: Manage regional taxation requirements, including preparing and filing VAT returns and complying with local financial regulations.
- Payroll & Expenses: Process monthly payroll, track employee expenses, and reconcile payroll accounts.
- Reporting & Reconciliation: Conduct month-end closing procedures, perform bank reconciliations, and generate work-in-progress (WIP) schedules for management.
- Financial Forecasting: Assist in preparing cash flow estimates, forecasting, and reporting any financial risks or budgetary discrepancies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or ACCA designation is a plus).
- Minimum of 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the contracting, construction, or engineering industry.
- Solid understanding of project-based accounting (Percentage-of-Completion revenue recognition, job costing).
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (Zoho Book) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Deep knowledge of regional tax regulations (e.g., FTA VAT rules in the UAE).
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per hour
