Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting the organization's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting books.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Monitor budgets and prepare budget variance reports.
  • Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Prepare financial reports for management decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience (or as required).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
