Accountant

Position: Accountant
Employment: Full-Time.
Location: Dubai.
Monthly Salary: AED 5,000 – 7,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Role Overview

The accountant will be responsible for managing the full financial cycle of our holiday homes operations, ensuring strict compliance with UAE VAT and Tax regulations, and supporting management with accurate, timely financial reporting. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who understands the unique financial landscape of the short-term rental and holiday homes industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable specific to short-term rental operations
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns accurately and on time in accordance with FTA regulations
• Maintain full compliance with UAE corporate tax requirements and any applicable holiday homes financial regulations
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Reconcile accounts across multiple properties and brand clients
• Process payroll and monitor staff-related financial records
• Coordinate with property management, revenue, and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy across all units
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities as required
• Track and manage owner disbursements and financial settlements for managed properties
• Monitor and maintain cost controls, flagging variances and discrepancies to management

Requirements

Essential

• Professional certification of ACCA.
• Minimum 4-5 years of accounting experience within a holiday homes, short-term rental, or property management company in the UAE
• Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT legislation and FTA filing procedures
• Familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax regulations introduced from 2023 onwards
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, or similar)
• Experience working with property management systems (PMS)
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with financial modelling and reporting
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail

Preferred

• Prior experience working with DTCM-registered holiday homes in Dubai
• Familiarity with DocuSign or similar digital document management platforms

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
