Accountant – Restaurant & Cafeteria Group (Multi-Branch)

About the Role

We are an established restaurant and cafeteria group operating across Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain, currently undergoing an exciting phase of financial and operational transformation to support our continued growth.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and hands-on Accountant with experience in the restaurant or food & beverage industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing daily accounting operations, maintaining strong financial controls, supporting branch performance, and helping build scalable financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities for multiple branches.
  • Record and maintain accurate accounting entries and financial records.
  • Reconcile daily cash and card sales with POS reports and bank deposits.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports.
  • Monitor supplier accounts, invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.
  • Control operating expenses and analyze budget variances.
  • Work closely with branch teams to monitor inventory, reduce waste, and improve food cost control.
  • Calculate product costs and analyze gross profit margins by product and branch.
  • Prepare payroll and employee-related financial records.
  • Monitor recurring financial commitments, including rent, licenses, insurance, maintenance, and government fees.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, including Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
  • Maintain organized accounting documentation and audit-ready financial records.
  • Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants when required.
  • Prepare and manage VAT documentation and reporting in compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Support the implementation of stronger financial controls, policies, and accounting procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within restaurants, cafés, or the hospitality sector in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant accounting, inventory management, supplier accounts, food costing, and daily sales reconciliation.
  • Experience using POS systems and accounting software.
  • Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in Arabic with a good working knowledge of English.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience managing accounting for multi-branch restaurant operations.
  • Knowledge of menu costing, raw material analysis, and waste control.
  • Experience preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and management reports.
  • Ability to improve accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls.

Regular field visits to branches are an essential part of this position. The successful candidate must be comfortable conducting on-site cash verification, inventory checks, and operational financial reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
