Accountant and Office Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for office administration and the accounting for Zetton, Inc. in Hawaii. This dual-function role involves accounting/bookkeeping to ensure financial accuracy and administrative responsibilities for operational efficiency across all restaurant locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Finance & Accounting

  • Accounting and bookkeeping: Record accounting transactions and report financial information timely and accurately.
  • Treasury: Maintain relationships with financial institutions and manage bank accounts and cash balances of corporate and all restaurant locations.
  • General Ledger Oversight: Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure all entries are accurately assigned in collaboration with the accounting team.
  • Accounts Payable: Oversee the invoice payment process for all restaurant locations; ensure timely payments to suppliers and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and document internal accounting controls and recordkeeping systems, leveraging modern financial technology.
  • Mentorship: Provide necessary instructions to bookkeeping personnel and direct their daily work activities to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Office & Administrative Operation

  • Compliance & Licensing: Manage the timely renewal of business licenses, liquor licenses, insurances, and other regulatory permits.
  • Lease Management: Monitor lease agreements, track renewal deadlines, and keep management informed of upcoming facility obligations.
  • Business Documentation: Process government forms, business filings, and corporate expense reports.
  • Office Oversight: Serve as the central point of contact for office administrative needs and general corporate inquiries.
  • Office Maintenance: Ensure safe and efficient office operations by organizing documents and maintaining office supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality or F&B industry.

Skills: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese is a significant plus. Advanced proficiency in ERP/Accounting Software and Spreadsheet. Strong knowledge of Hawaii-specific business regulations and requirements.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
