We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our bakery. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring sales, processing invoices, and assisting with cash management using Odoo ERP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and process sales, customer invoices, and supplier invoices in Odoo ERP.
- Monitor accounts payable and ensure suppliers are paid on time.
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer invoices.
- Reconcile daily sales and assist with cash register closing procedures.
- Count and verify cash collections and prepare daily cash reports.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparing basic financial and management reports.
- Monitor cash balances and provide updates to management.
- Support inventory and sales reporting as required.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Experience using ERP systems; Odoo experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information.
- 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience preferred.
Note: The Accounting Assistant will not have authority over company bank accounts or banking transactions but will have visibility of financial information necessary to perform their duties.
