Job Title: Accountant Associate – Europe VAT
General Purpose
As a VAT Associate in a European manufacturing company, you will support the finance and tax teams in ensuring accurate and timely VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will play a key role in preparing VAT returns, supporting audits, and improving indirect tax processes.
Essential Functions

Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly VAT returns for European entities.

Ensure compliance with local VAT regulations and deadlines.

Handle Intrastat and EC Sales List (ESL) reporting.

Support internal and external audits.

Perform pre- and post-submission checks.

Maintain accurate records and reconciliations of VAT accounts

Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy.

Contribute to VAT-related projects, Prepare and manage VAT declarations across Europe.

Reconcile the accounts with financial data (GL). Advice on VAT implications of new business activities.

Handle VAT invoice revisions and credits. Assist clients with VAT compliance across EU Member States.

Provide advice and dispute management. Assist with registrations, audits, and VAT-related queries
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting / Finance
-
4-6 years of experience Europe VAT, Accounting GL and Advance Excel
-
Experience in BPO/ Shared Service Preferable

Able to communicate effectively at all levels, by telephone and face-to-face.

Computer skills – MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
