Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounting by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and managing the chart of accounts using leading accounting software such as QuickBooks Online
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections to support healthy cash flow.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify data accuracy across various ledgers and subsidiary accounts.
- Support payroll processing activities by ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist with budgeting activities and financial report writing to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and tax regulations through meticulous recordkeeping and documentation.
- Reporting Ohio Sales Tax
Experience
- Hands-on experience using popular accounting software including QuickBooks Online
- Knowledge of public accounting practices and governmental accounting standards is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and account analysis accurately.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles combined with practical experience in journal entries, account analysis, and financial report writing.
- Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in 10-key typing for efficient data entry.
- Experience handling accounts payable/receivable processes along with payroll duties is preferred.
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
