Accountant / Bookkeeper

Accommodation and transportation provided by the company.

The Accountant will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the capability to work efficiently within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Record, classify, and maintain accurate financial transactions including deposits and disbursements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently
• Enter and update financial data in the accounting system accurately and on time
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper settlement of all transactions
• Monitor financial discrepancies and resolve inconsistencies promptly
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations in Qatar
• Coordinate with auditors and support audit processes when required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting, or a related field
• Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) will be an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in accounting
• Experience in construction / fit-out industry is highly preferred
• Strong background in financial reporting and accounting operations

Required Skills

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
