Accountant cum Admin Assistant

Job Summary

The Accountant cum Admin is responsible for managing accounting functions, project-related financial records, petty cash, and administrative support within the company. The role requires a strong understanding of construction/fit-out project operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple teams to ensure smooth financial and administrative operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesSection 1: Accounting & Finance Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain project-wise accounting records, including cost tracking, invoices, and payments.
  • Manage petty cash accounts, ensuring proper documentation and approval for all disbursements.
  • Prepare, review, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Coordinate with the finance team for bank transactions, payments, and collections.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies, UAE labor law, and accounting standards.
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost control for projects.

Section 2: Administrative & Project Support Responsibilities

  • Act as document controller: manage filing, tracking, and archiving of contracts, POs, invoices, and other project documents.
  • Issue and maintain gate passes for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
  • Assist project teams in administrative tasks, including coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Maintain office supplies, inventory, and administrative records.
  • Support HR/admin processes such as attendance, leave tracking, and onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure smooth operations and documentation flow.

Reporting & Monitoring

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on petty cash, accounts, and administrative activities.
  • Track pending invoices, payments, and project-related financial commitments.
  • Maintain proper records for audits and internal reviews.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in accounting and administrative roles in construction, interior fit-out, or project-based companies.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of UAE accounting regulations and labor laws is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with multiple teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
