Accountant Cum Cashier

We are looking for an Accountant Cum Cashier who is responsible for handling daily accounting activities along with managing cash transactions of the organization. The role ensures accurate financial records, proper cash handling, timely reporting, and compliance with company financial policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the accounting system and Excel sheets.
• Prepare and record journal entries, invoices, and payment vouchers.
• Manage advances and prepayments and ensure proper adjustment and final settlement.
• Reconcile bank statements regularly and resolve any discrepancies.
• Handle physical cash and reconcile daily with the cash book.
• Receive and process cash, cheques, and other payment instruments.
• Maintain the daily cash book and monitor cash balance records.
• Ensure safe custody of cash and all financial documents.
• Deposit daily cash collections into the company bank account.
• Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to management for review and approval.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records and receipts.
• Process and manage payment disbursements and collections related to HR, Procurement, and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information.
• Follow internal control procedures for cash management, manual bills, and tax calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / BBA Finance).
• Professional certification (ACCA, CA Inter, or equivalent) is a plus.

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting or cashier-related roles.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
• Cash handling and reconciliation skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally)
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Integrity and confidentiality
