We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with Procurement Experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and procurement, with experience in a healthcare setting being a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, assisting in the preparation of financial statements and budgets.
- Process procurement transactions, including requisition, purchase orders, and vendor management.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate purchasing of medical supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Prepare, file, and submit VAT and Corporate Tax Returns to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) in accordance with UAE regulations.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and tax laws, keeping up-to-date with changes in regulations.
- Perform monthly and yearly closing processes and assist with audits.
- Collaborate with management to develop cost-saving strategies and optimize procurement processes.
- Analyze financial data and generate reports to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on procurement.
- Experience working in a medical center, hospital, or healthcare environment is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, financial systems, and VAT/Corporate Tax filing requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
- Experience with filing VAT and Corporate Tax Returns to the FTA is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare procurement regulations and standards.
- Experience with financial reporting in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of UAE tax laws and VAT regulations.
