We are looking for an Accountant to join the finance team at a leading healthcare facility in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports in compliance with hospital policies and Qatar’s financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Process and reconcile invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of hospital-related financial activities, including patient billing, insurance claims, and vendor payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Assist in the preparation of the hospital’s annual budget, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Monitor budget performance and assist with variance analysis.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with local regulations, hospital policies, and international accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP).
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Assist in managing the hospital’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Monitor cash transactions and reconcile cash balances on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare sector or hospital environment.
- Familiarity with financial software and systems used in healthcare accounting (e.g., ERP systems, hospital management systems).
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (advanced skills preferred).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
