Accountant Officer

Job Purpose

The Accountant Officer is responsible for supporting the company’s financial operations with a strong focus on invoicing, billing accuracy, and record management. The role ensures timely financial processing, compliance with accounting standards, and coordination across departments. The position may support multiple business units depending on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and process client invoices ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission
  • Manage billing cycles and follow up on outstanding payments in coordination with internal teams
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and financial documentation
  • Assist in payroll accounting and employee-related financial transactions (preferred)
  • Support budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting activities
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts, invoices, and financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and local accounting regulations
  • Coordinate with project, HR, and administrative teams on financial matters
  • Assist with audits and provide supporting financial documentation when required

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Mandatory experience in UAE engineering consulting or billing within Dubai consulting firms
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher
  • CPA certification (US, UAE, or home country equivalent)
  • Strong experience in invoicing and billing
  • Payroll accounting experience is an advantage
  • Familiarity with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Zoho, Odoo, or MS Dynamics
  • Currently based in the UAE
