Accountant – Revenue

The Revenue Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing all revenue-related accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording of sales, timely reconciliation, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role supports management through accurate financial reporting and analysis of revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and monitor daily revenue transactions from all sales channels (POS, online, catering, wholesale, etc.)
• Reconcile daily sales reports with bank deposits, cash, and credit card settlements
• Verify accuracy of invoices, credit notes, discounts, and refunds
• Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports
• Reconcile accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and finance teams to resolve revenue discrepancies
• Review and control price lists, promotions, and discount approvals
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing related to revenue accounts
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (VAT, where applicable)

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in revenue accounting (F&B, retail, or hospitality preferred)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition
• Experience working with ERP systems and POS platforms
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle large volumes of transactions
• Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in multi-outlet or high-volume environments
• Knowledge of VAT compliance and reporting
• Experience in Qatar or GCC accounting regulations
