<Overview>
We are seeking an individual to fill a vital role in our organization. The successful applicant will be able to work independent of direct supervision and manage a broad range of standard accounting tasks for multiple corporations. On site presence at work of at least 24 hours per week is required but after successfully completing the 90 day probation period, great flexibility in establishing a work schedule is allowed as long as work is done correctly and on time.
<Duties>
- Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate financial data.
- Prepare financial statements and reports that interpret financial data clearly for internal use and external compliance.
- All accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll (using 3rd party PAYCOR) functions are required.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, review GL transactions and investigate discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
- Some regulatory reporting for MSHDA/HUD is required
- Assist CPA with any review, audit or tax return documentation or adjusting entires as required.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts to support organizational planning and decision-making.
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage, Google Docs, Excel for efficient bookkeeping and reporting.
- Maintain accounting and corporate files including and supporting documentation.
<Experience>
- Proven experience in full charge accounting processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial reports, depreciation, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, profit/loss accounting and general ledger transactions.
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles including debits & credits.
- Experience in managing accounts payable/receivable processes along with bank reconciliations is essential.
- Ability to perform basic financial analysis, analyze cash flow, budgeting, and audit/tax support.
- Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- Attendance at monthly Board Finance meetings and presentation of financial position for individual managed properties and management corp is required.
Pay: $41,600.00 per year
