Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant / Accounting & Bookkeeping Specialist with 5–8 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and tax regulations, and supporting overall financial operations.

This role requires a proactive professional who can work independently, handle full-cycle accounting, and contribute to financial reporting and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and journals.
  • Handle full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP).
  • Manage cash flow, petty cash, and banking transactions.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with local laws (EOBI, tax deductions, etc.).
  • Ensure timely filing of withholding tax, income tax, and sales tax (FBR, PRA).
  • Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Support ERP or accounting software implementation and ensure accurate data entry (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or locally used systems).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (e.g., B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance).
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CA Inter, ICMA, or equivalent will be a strong advantage.
  • 5–8 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping, preferably in a corporate or professional services environment.
  • Strong command over accounting software (QuickBooks, Peachtree, ERP, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of Pakistani tax laws, FBR regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with international clients or outsourcing companies is a plus.
  • Good understanding of inventory accounting and cost control.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
