Position: General Accountant & Storekeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to join our team as a General Accountant & Storekeeper. This role combines accounting responsibilities with inventory and warehouse management operations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with accounting systems, inventory control, and UAE business operations, especially using Zoho Books and ERP systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monthly financial closing
  • Prepare financial reports and statements
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations
  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and expense tracking
  • Handle petty cash and daily accounting transactions
  • Maintain accounting records using Zoho Books / ERP systems
  • Support budgeting and financial reporting processes

Storekeeping & Inventory Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and deliveries
  • Maintain accurate stock and inventory records
  • Organize warehouse materials with proper labeling and categorization
  • Monitor inventory movement and stock levels
  • Prepare delivery notes, goods dispatch, and stock transfer documentation
  • Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, and logistics teams
  • Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits
  • Ensure proper inventory control procedures are followed
  • Update inventory transactions in ERP/accounting systems

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in accounting and inventory/store management
  • Experience with Zoho Books or similar ERP/accounting systems is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional and responsible attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or lighting industry
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics
  • Experience with stock audits and inventory systems
