Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist our Accounting Specialist with daily operations, closing tasks, and maintaining financial integrity. This role requires a self-starter who can manage responsibilities independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Data Entry: Accurately input financial transactions into our accounting software.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist with managing accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Invoicing & Payment Reconciliation: Support the invoicing process and help reconcile payments to maintain accurate financial records.
- Software Expertise: Become proficient in our accounting software, including adding products, creating price groups, and running promotions.
- Month-End Closing: Collaborate with the Accounting Specialist to facilitate month-end closing tasks.
- Record Maintenance: Organize and maintain comprehensive records of financial transactions, reports, receipts, offers, and coupons.
- Payroll Assistance: Aid in the preparation and processing of payroll.
- Vendor Relations: Organize and manage relationships with vendors and partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Additional Duties: Assist with margin control, profitability analysis, and other accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous accounting experience is required.
- Financial Knowledge: Understanding of financial concepts, margin, & profitability.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide insights.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication abilities to collaborate across the team and with vendors.
- Motivation: Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset to support team goals and projects.
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 per week
