US Paper Mill LLC is redeveloping a large-scale industrial facility in Chillicothe, Ohio focused on advanced U.S.-based manufacturing. The company is part of a broader group of affiliated manufacturing companies supporting domestic supply chains for critical products.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of our growing organization. This position may be remote for the right candidate.

Position Summary

The Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day accounting transactions, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance. This role will work directly with company leadership and outside accounting professionals to ensure efficient financial operations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work and supporting a growing manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

• Maintain company books and accounting records
• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation

Financial Reporting Support

• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close
• Prepare financial reports for management
• Maintain supporting schedules and reconciliations

Operational Support

• Assist with project accounting related to facility redevelopment
• Track expenses related to capital projects and operations
• Support documentation needs for lenders, investors, and tax filings

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years experience as a bookkeeper or accounting clerk
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred

• Experience with manufacturing, construction, or project accounting
• Familiarity with multi-entity accounting
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
