Job Function
The Accounting Generalist will perform administrative tasks and services to support both the Accounting and Human Resources Departments.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Basic reconciliation processes with Payroll applications
-
Sales / Use tax filings
-
Business License filings
-
General Accounting Assistance
-
Other State Compliance filings
-
Responsible overseeing and administering the day-to‐day operations for all U.S. payroll processing functions and assisting with employee inquiries/communications regarding payroll
-
Act as a liaison with Managers to ensure that the appropriate payroll records are authorized and approved
-
Ensure the appropriate payroll change tickets are submitted for any payroll exceptions or employee master changes

Payroll Reconciliation
-
Assist with internal/external audits
-
Misc. special payroll tax reporting
-
Administer the 401k, HSA, FSA and Deferred Compensation special reporting requirements
-
Reconcile the Union insurance invoice and submit for payment
-
Reconcile the internal AMI Metals insurance invoice
-
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills-
3-5 years experience as an Accounting Generalist/Payroll Specialist; or similar administrative role

Strong organization skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi‐task

Payroll processing experience (Dayforce system preferred)

Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines

Attention to detail

Excellent communicator (oral and written)

Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of both organization and employee information

College Degree (preferred)
