Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Accounting & HR Manager with at least 5 years of experience managing both accounting and human resources functions. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and feels comfortable wearing multiple hats. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and general office management—helping to keep our business operating smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of company accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
- Handle payroll processing, employee records, and benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and performance review processes.
- Support company leadership in financial planning and HR strategy.
- Manage office operations and ensure an organized, professional work environment.
- Report directly to the President and support company goals and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of combined experience in accounting and human resources roles.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and employment law.
- Proficiency in accounting and HR software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, payroll systems).
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of AI tools for accounting & HR functions a plus.
