About Helia
Helia is a fast-growing healthcare SaaS company transforming the surgical supply chain through a unified digital network that connects hospitals and suppliers. Our platform improves contracting, streamlines operations, and strengthens compliance. We run on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and value clarity, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
We’re looking for an Accounting Manager who wants to build, improve, and lead the financial backbone of a scaling company.
Position Overview
Helia is seeking an Accounting Manager to establish and own our accounting foundation as the company’s first in-house finance lead. This role will blend hands-on day-to-day ownership with building scalable processes, controls, and reporting that enable timely, decision-ready financials as we grow.
You’ll manage core accounting functions (billing, AR/AP, revenue recognition, month-end close), produce clear financial reporting, run budgeting and forecasting cycles, and ensure the business has accurate, timely financial information.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys both the precision of accounting work and the strategic thinking involved in planning, modeling, and helping leaders make sound decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations - Oversee AR/AP, invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and cash flow tracking with accuracy and consistency
- Lead SaaS billing and revenue recognition - Maintain compliant and reliable ASC 606 processes, including deferred revenue schedules and monthly cutoffs
- Run the month-end close process - Complete reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis to deliver clean, timely financial statements
- Create clear financial reporting - Prepare monthly financials, dashboards, and SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, margins) that give leadership the visibility they need
- Support budgeting and forecasting - Build models, run scenarios, and contribute to budget planning and quarterly forecast updates
- Maintain compliance and controls - Handle multi-state tax requirements, licenses, insurance renewals, and documentation that supports audits and regulatory responsibilities
- Improve tools and workflows - Optimize accounting tools and systems, reduce manual work, and build documentation that keeps processes consistent and scalable
- Work cross-functionally - Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer Success to align billing, contract details, and financial impacts with what’s happening across the business
- Analyze financial performance - Identify trends, flag issues early, and help connect financial results to operational decisions
- Lay the foundation for future team growth - Build processes and structure that make it easy for future finance hires to ramp quickly

- Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, margins)
- Ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-finance teams
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable working in a growing company where processes are still being built
