Accounting Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), managing complex financial transactions, and preparing comprehensive financial reports. Your expertise will drive strategic financial decision-making, support regulatory reporting, and uphold the highest standards of financial management within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.

Duties

• Perform day-to-day accounting and finance functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Analyze and make decisions on the creditworthiness of existing or prospective clients.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and documentation.
• Prepare bank deposits and process electronic deposits daily.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Performs related work as assigned
• Constant requirement to sit whilst completing computer and desk-based tasks
• Occasional requirement to stand whilst completing all listed tasks that are not desk-based
• Perform other tasks as needed for the company.

Requirements

• QuickBooks Certification Required
• Proficient with Microsoft 365
• Bookkeeper Certification Preferred (AIPB or NACPB)
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Experience

• 5 + years in an accounting or bookkeeping role

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
