Responsibilities
- Drive outside sales efforts by actively seeking new business opportunities through cold calling, lead generation, and territory management.
- Fullfilling and bidding on city, state and government contracts.
- Manage existing accounts with a focus on upselling, cross-selling, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical sales presentations to showcase features and benefits tailored to client needs.
- Develop strategic business development plans to expand market reach within assigned territories or sectors.
- Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track interactions, manage leads, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms effectively while ensuring customer needs are met with professionalism and integrity.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement targeted campaigns that support lead generation and brand awareness initiatives.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or territory management within a technology or industrial sector.
- Demonstrated success in managing accounts, generating leads, and closing sales through direct or inside sales channels.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent analysis capabilities to assess client needs and craft compelling solutions.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for tracking sales activities and customer interactions.
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and technical sales environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward business development.
