Location:
This role is based locally in the Sun Valley, Idaho area. On-site and remote work may be possible, but candidates need to live nearby or relocate locally.

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional who is highly detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to work locally in the Sun Valley area. A CPA license is highly desirable.

Job Description

Manage tuition-related accounting functions including student contracting, invoicing, collections, and related reconciliations

Record cash receipts, prepare deposits, and maintain strong internal controls over cash handling

Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis with a high degree of accuracy

Prepare and submit monthly payroll for approximately 115 employees, along with related benefits payments and journal entries

Support HR-related administrative processes including annual employment letters, W-2s, 1095s, and required disclosures

Assist with tracking and collection of delinquent accounts in partnership with leadership

Support annual financial statement audit, ERISA audit, and IRS Form 990 preparation in key accounting areas

Help ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial information for internal decision-making and external reporting

Contribute to a collaborative business office environment where priorities can shift and team support matters
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting strongly preferred

1+ years of directly relevant accounting experience

CPA license highly desirable

Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines

Experience with payroll, account reconciliations, and monthly close responsibilities
-
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
-
Experience with systems such as ADP, Blackbaud, or tuition/billing platforms is a plus
-
Collaborative mindset with a willingness to jump in and help where needed
