Accounting Manager — Retail

Giza, Egypt

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise all finance and accounting operations within TMR , ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and regular variance analysis for all retail business units and stores.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor cost control frameworks that align with project budgets and company financial objectives.
  • Establish and enforce robust financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures to maintain transparency and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure full compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and corporate governance standards relevant to the retail sector .
  • Manage cash flow planning, monitor liquidity, and develop investment strategies to support the financial sustainability of retail operations.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities to coordinate audits, manage financial arrangements, and ensure timely regulatory submissions.
  • Provide strategic financial insights, business performance updates, and recommendations to senior leadership to support key retail decisions.
  • Drive ERP implementation, accounting system improvements, and digital transformation initiatives in all financial processes.
  • Work closely with retail operations, commercial, and merchandising teams to ensure financial alignment with overall retail business objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with a strong and proven background in the retail sector (retail experience is a must).
  • Deep understanding of local tax laws, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting in a retail environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and strong Excel modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
