Job Summary

Within Finance & Supplier Management, the Finance Operations department delivers accounting and operational purchasing transactional activities to meet internal & external reporting needs, in accordance with Group business control framework. It drives implementation of Finance and operational Supplier Management global/ local projects for entities in scope. We are now looking for an Accounting Manager who will manage Accounting & Control aspects in UAE, Arabia Area (Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jorden, Yemen, Kuwait) & Egypt. In this role you will report directly to the Director Finance Hub India and you will have the responsibility for accounting and control activities in above mentioned geographies and Tax activities in UAE.

This is a permanent position based in Dubai.

What you will do

• Direct responsibility to monitor and Control Trail Balance of UAE (two legal entities), and oversee Trial Balance of Arabia Area and Egypt via Local accounting managers for those geographies
• Meet the deadlines of monthly and quarterly closings with high quality reports
• Liaise with Global Finance teams on queries relating to Group reporting
• Prepare and monitor key month end reconciliation statements (schedules) for control purposes
• Review and authorize Journal vouchers
• Preparation and filling of Statutory Financial Accounts in UAE
• Responsible for statutory audit and internal audits in UAE, Arabia area & Egypt
• Tax compliances and filings in UAE
• Support in trade flow discussions in UAE
• Fixed assets tagging and verification
• Execute all accounting controls
• Drive simplification and Standardization in day to day work
• Be a Local Process driver for Accounting Process and achieve high performance in all key performance indicators of finance process
• Execute continuous improvements/PSM methodologies and deliver improvements

Profile description:

We believe you have

• Qualified CPA / Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Fluency in English
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of IFRS / UAE local GAAP
• Knowledge of statutory and Tax landscape in UAE
• Knowledge of trade flow possibilities in Greater Middle East and Africa region
• Strong personal drive, an ability to make things happen
• Problem solving (solution oriented)
• Managerial experience to lead cross border teams of 8-10 subordinates
