Accounting Senior Specialist

Job Summary:

The Senior Accounting Specialist is responsible for end-to-end accounting operations at the Aliağa factory, ensuring full compliance with regulations, company policies, and procedures, and driving timely and accurate financial reporting. This role also plays a key part in managing day-to-day pre-accounting activities and supporting operational finance processes on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily tracking, control, and posting/offsetting of accounting documents such as invoices for direct and indirect purchases, employee-related expenses, etc.
• Managing pre-accounting processes including invoice collection, document control, and accurate data entry into the ERP system
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies
• Manage, control, and report VAT refund processes
• Prepare weekly vendor & associate payment lists and follow up transactions in SAP
• Perform vendor and customer reconciliations (monthly/quarterly as required) and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with HR and other departments on employee deductions, allowances, and related accounting processes
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting systems, programs, and procedures
• Support preparation of audit documentation for audits, inspections, and external advisors

Qualifications:

• Graduate of university degree programs in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, or related fields
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the field, preferably in global companies,
• Able to collaborate and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams such as Production Planning, Financial Planning & Control, Treasury
• Knowledgeable in the Chart of Accounts and tax regulations
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and high-priority tasks
• Advance level of SAP/FI module and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint mainly)
