We’re Hiring: Accounting Specialist

Location: Karachi

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Execute standard accounting policies and procedures.

· Help direct the day-to-day accounting operations required to support the business.

· Coordinate accounting processes that are executed by entry-level or semi-skilled employees.

· Apply comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and procedures to guide direct reports on creating technical accounting report packages.

· Prepare, review and monitor group reporting (monthly, quarterly and annual) of financial statements as per US GAAP, IFRS etc. and within the deadlines.

· Independently handles all matters related to Audit of Financial statements in coordination with External Auditor to ensure its timely completion and other statutory reporting and compliances.

· Independently handles all matters related to Income Tax, Sales Tax, Service Tax, Stamp duty by ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws in coordination with Tax consultant and Internal Regional Tax team.

· Detailed reconciliation of Accounting PnL with Trading PnL including analysis and reporting of position gain/loss, FX and hedge PnL.

· Calculation of mark to market positions including Palm, Corn, soya beans

· Analysis on movements between mark-to-market positions between position dates

· Use of world writer/dream writer and power BI for Business Analytics

· Support local business in coordination with Regional Treasury for any working capital management, financial modeling and coordination with Banks for day to day matters and Banking compliances.

· Other duties as assigned

· Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· CA finalist/ CA Qualified

· Minimum 3 to 4 years of directly related post qualification work experience

· Proficient in MS office, excel, word, Power Point and Power BI.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· One year of supervisory experience

· Articleship with big 4 Audit firms including 1 to 2 years with Tax department.

· Working experience of JDE / SAP

Pay: Rs300,000.00 - Rs400,000.00 per month
