*Currently, we are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Specialist. This is a full-time role, (40 hours per week). There may be opportunities for additional hours based on company need and candidate availability. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for the job responsibilities, as outlined below:

Accounting Specialist:

Job Summary/Objective:

· To promote and adhere to company performance expectations through positive and consistent customer interaction.

· The Accounting Specialist must be able to balance and prioritize work and ensure quality production output.

· The Accounting Specialist reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

· This position is based in the Swanzey, NH location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Carry out Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as directed. These KPI’s include but may not be limited to:

Duties/Responsibilities:

· The Accounting Specialist must be able to balance and prioritize work and ensure quality production output.

· The Accounting Specialist reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

· This position is based in the Swanzey, NH location.

· The Accounting Specialist is responsible for accurately entering accounts payable, reconciling accounts in a timely manner, and completing other accounting tasks as directed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Carry out Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as directed. These KPI’s include but may not be limited to:

Duties/Responsibilities, as directed:

· Maintain Accounts Payable: Vendor system maintenance, processing of invoices, processing of payments, and filing as directed by the Accounting Manager.

· Reconcile company credit cards.

· Update information in the Company’s ERP and Accounting systems as needed.

· Process Installation permits (checks, copies, mail and file)

· Make (recurring, adjusting, or other) entries in the General Ledger or other accounts, as directed by the Accounting Manager. Post accrual and prepaid entries according to schedules prepared and directed by the Accounting Manager.

· Participate in meetings, as directed.

· Assist customers and/or other departments via incoming/outgoing calls, or in-person meetings.

· Work with all departments to meet customer needs.

· Organize and compile reports and data as directed by the Accounting Manager.

· Complete all required documentation and financial reporting in a timely manner.

· Assist the Accounting Manager with projects on an as needed basis.

· Identify and help support process improvement opportunities/efforts.

· Maintain Accounts Receivable: Invoicing, (i.e. NWPG, NWOG and remote monitoring customers) receive and post payments, preparedeposits, and participate in collection Efforts with past due accounts.

· Transfer funds between accounts.

· Monitor cash flow and account balances.

· Participate in the month/year-end closing process, as directed by the Accounting Manager.

· Participate in yearly budget preparation, as directed by the Accounting Manager.

· Participate in monthly Budget pay review and weekly department accounting meeting.

· Report areas of concern to the Accounting Manager.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Solid employment background in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field (2-5 years’ experience, required)

· Must consistently demonstrate a customer and team-centric attitude.

· Exceptional communication skills (Written, verbal)

· Excellent (internal/external) Customer Service skills, with a consistently professional and friendly approach.

· Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.

· Accounting software knowledge required, QuickBooks Desktop proficiency required, with the ability to learn other accounting software systems, as needed.

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

· Ability to work and make decisions independently to support the Company’s stated goals.

· Ability to work as part of a team to ensure that customer expectations are met.

· Ability to work cooperatively across all functional areas, with strong interpersonal skills.

· Reading and legible writing of the English language is essential for this position.

· Consistent demonstration of a positive attitude, with the ability to always remain professional and courteous.

· Ability to learn new accounting tasks as directed.

· Must be able to prioritize, organize work, manage time, and work unsupervised.

· Keen sense of urgency and attention to details.

· Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment.

Work Conditions/Environment:

While in the office, the employee will work in a well-lit environment and will be exposed to low levels of noise, with a temperate climate and shall operate office equipment.

While in the warehouse, the employee will work in a well-lit environment and will be exposed to moderate noise levels, cool, or elevated temperatures, dust, fumes or smells, chemicals, and moving mechanical equipment.

Physical requirements:

The requirements listed below are representative of the requisite background required to adequately perform the functions of this position. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files up to 30 pounds, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Good or corrected eyesight is required. Fine Motor skills are necessary. Must be able to verbally communicate using the English language. Must be able to hear and use the telephone. Must be able to read and write in the English Language.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work and days will be Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Safety and Health:

· At times, and in varying degrees depending upon the specific details of possible contagion exposure- it may be necessary for Powers to follow CDC or other recommended health safety guidelines for the protection of its staff. All staff must follow protocol, as directed.

· Promote a safe working environment.

· Participation in all emergency evacuation drills is required, which may include the use of strobe lighting and loud sirens.

· Participate in employee safety training and comply with safety protocol and procedures, as directed.
