Soar is looking to hire an Accounting Lead to join our team.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and oversee all aspects of daily accounting operations across EMMA and APAC regions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions—including general ledger entries, vendor invoices, and employee reimbursements
- Assist the Accounting and FP&A Director in executing annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including vertical analysis and horizontal trend evaluation.
- Manage accounts payable and fixed asset accounting, maintaining compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Reconcile bank statements with internal records, investigate discrepancies, and uphold financial data integrity
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all financial postings
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including accrual preparation and payable validation
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements in accordance with IFRS/EAS standards, including SFRS(I) for Singapore operations
- Monitor and enforce compliance with IFRS/EAS/SFRS(I) and internal control policies across EMMA and APAC regions
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings, including WHT, VAT, and CIT, across multiple jurisdictions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ERP system implementation and data migration initiatives
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline accounting workflows and reporting
- Independently manage accounting tasks during the initial phase, with the expectation to supervise junior team members once the team is established.
Qualifications & Skills

Professional Certification: CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent recognized credential (mandatory)
- Experience: 4.5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, preferably within the fintech sector; prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm is highly valued
- ERP Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Oracle, or SAP, including system configuration and data migration
- Analytical Tools: Strong command of Power BI, Alteryx, and advanced Excel for financial automation and reporting
- Language Skills: Native Arabic speaker with full professional proficiency in English
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members, with a focus on quality control and professional development
- Compliance & Accuracy: Deep understanding of IFRS, EAS, and SFRS(I) standards and regional tax regulations, with a commitment to precision and integrity in financial reporting
