We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Accounting Tutor to join our academic team and provide hands-on training in accounting software and essential office tools.
Job Description:
The Accounting Tutor will be responsible for teaching students accounting concepts and practical skills using industry-standard accounting software. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, effective teaching skills, and a passion for helping students build job-ready accounting competencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver structured lesson plans covering accounting fundamentals and practical applications.
- Provide training on accounting software, including but not limited to:
- Tally
- QuickBooks
- Zoho Books
- Other similar accounting or ERP software
- Teach practical usage of Microsoft Office Suite, especially:
- Microsoft Excel (formulas, functions, reports, basic analysis)
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Conduct hands-on training sessions, demonstrations, and real-world accounting exercises.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, practical tasks, and assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Keep course content updated with current accounting practices, software updates, and industry standards.
- Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Prepare and maintain course materials such as presentations, worksheets, case studies, and practice datasets.
- Track student attendance, progress, and assessment records accurately.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students regarding coursework and practical projects.
- Collaborate with other instructors and academic staff to maintain consistency and teaching quality.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development activities as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Proven experience as an Accounting Tutor, Accountant, or in a similar teaching/training role.
- Strong practical knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or equivalent.
- Good command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate students and create a professional learning environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with accounting tools and practices.
- Experience with online or blended learning platforms is an added advantage.
