Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Assistant to support our finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain financial records, and ensure the accuracy of financial documentation and entries. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with data entry, processing invoices, and updating financial records.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounting ledgers and bank statements.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports, including expense reports.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Process payments and manage petty cash.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and organizing financial documents.
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments regarding financial transactions.
  • Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Basic entry in Tally (sales, purchase, payment, receipt & journal voucher).
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to company accounting and financial guidelines
  • Assist in TDS adjustment entries.
  • Assisting team members as per their work requirement.

Preferred Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Account Assistant or in a similar role (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
