BMT invites applications from qualified, experienced, and highly motivated professionals for the position of Accounts and Compliance Manager.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the organization's accounting and financial management functions while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, statutory, and organizational requirements. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits and reporting processes, ensuring timely regulatory filings, and strengthening internal controls in accordance with established policies, procedures, and governance standards.
Job responsibility
- Supervising bookkeeping in Accounting Software.
- Bank & Vendor dealing
- Receipts & payments
- Monthly Bank Reconciliation.
- Verification of Sales Invoices as per the company policy and procedure. Ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place.
- Ensuring vendor payments are processed as per the payment terms.
- Reconciliation of payable and receivable accounts in order to ensure timely rectification of any discrepancy.
- Ensuring all related party accounts are reconciled and confirmed on a monthly basis.
- Coordination with external auditors to ensure the year-end audit is completed on a timely basis.
- Monthly/Quarterly withholding tax return.
- Submission of reports to the Directors as per the timeline provided by the company.
- Prepare and finalize agendas and minutes for Board and committee meetings, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
- Maintain statutory books and registers of shareholders, members, directors, and secretaries.
- Filling and Submission of Monthly, Quarterly, Annually return TO SECP, FBR, EOBI, PRA ETC
- Comply data for tax notices and coordinate with relevant authority.
- Apply for applicable exemptions and licenses on behalf of NPO
Educational Qualification:
- CA (Inter)/ ACMA/ ACCA (Finalist)/ BSc or Master in Accounting and Finance
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in any QCR rated audit firm
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for BSc or Master in Accounting and Finance
- Experience in NGO / welfare sector will be considered an added advantage
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Sound understanding of basic accounting principles, IFRS, Tax laws and Company Act
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong organizational and record-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Good communication, coordination, and time-management skills
- Willingness to work under deadlines and multitasking
