Accounts Assistant Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Account Manager to support finance operations across our hotel and real estate business units. The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on systems expertise (SUN, Tally, Opera PMS, Micros POS), and the ability to ensure accurate reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance Operations

  • Assist in month-end closing activities: journal entries, accruals, prepayments, schedules, and supporting documents.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure proper classification of income and expenses.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for hotel and real estate operations.
  • Prepare and review payment requests, ensuring approvals, proper documentation, and correct coding.

Revenue / Hotel Finance

  • Support daily revenue checks, postings, and reconciliation between Opera and Micros and accounting systems.
  • Validate revenue reports, rebates/discounts/voids, and investigate variances.
  • Assist with AR tracking, invoicing, collections follow-up, and guest/company ledger reconciliations (as applicable).

Real Estate Finance

  • Assist with tenant invoicing, rent schedules, service charge tracking, and receivables follow-up.
  • Support reconciliation of lease-related income and ensure accurate posting and reporting.
  • Maintain contract/lease documentation support for finance records and audits.

Reconciliations & Controls

  • Prepare bank, petty cash, POS, and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, proper documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Support external/internal audit requests by preparing schedules and providing required explanations.

Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate finance records in SUN / Tally (as per company setup) and ensure data integrity.
  • Generate finance reports and assist management with timely financial summaries.
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure finance requirements are met without delays.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (hospitality experience is mandatory/preferred based on your need).
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • SUN System
  • Tally
  • Opera PMS
  • Micros POS
  • Experience in hotel accounting (revenue, night audit support, POS/PMS reconciliation) and real estate accounting (rent/tenant invoicing, lease income tracking).
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to follow up proactively across departments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience working in multi-entity businesses (hotel + real estate under one group).
  • Familiarity with VAT/tax reporting requirements (based on your country).
