Accounts Automated is an Sydney-based accounting and advisory firm supporting small to medium businesses across Australia. We provide end-to-end bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and compliance services, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and building strong client relationships.

The Role
We are looking for an Accounts Executive with solid bookkeeping and accounting knowledge to manage multiple client accounts. The successful candidate will be confident with cloud-based accounting software and able to complete day-to-day and month-end tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge BAS under review
• Process payroll, including STP, superannuation, and leave accruals
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Post month-end journals (depreciation, prepayments, accruals)
• Perform reconciliations (bank, credit card, accounts)
• Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting and tax regulations

Skills & Experience

• 2+ years’ bookkeeping or accounts experience
• Proficient in Xero, Dext, Hubdoc, and MYOB
• Strong understanding of GST, payroll, superannuation, and BAS
• Able to manage end-to-end bookkeeping for small businesses
• Excellent time management and communication skills
