Accounts Executive

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Executive to manage our general accounting operations on a daily basis.

A successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to create and analyse financial reports. Accountant duties will also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all our cost management and accounting tasks.

General Responsibilities:

• Maintain Cash Book, Bank Book, Petty Cash Register, Ledger, Subsidiary Ledger, Journal Book, Journal Ledger
• Prepare financial statements (Cash Flow, P&L, Trial Balance, Bank Reconciliation, Expense Report, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and other custom reports required)
• Maintain entries of daily vouchers manually
• Timely tax documentation and filing for VAT and Corporate Tax
• Countercheck all manual reports with software reports
• Follow-up on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable stringently
• Cheque Receiving and Preparation, with record handling for all cheques
• Prepare and analyse Final Statements
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Analyse financial information and summarize financial status
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Prepare budget reports (daily, weekly & monthly) for management
• Actual to budget/forecast variance analysis based on normal and abnormal wastage
• Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
• Keep up with financial policies, regulations, and legislations of the UAE

Required education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant discipline
• Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA)

Required experience:

• General Accounting: 3+ years
• Working experience in the UAE: 2+ years
• Offshore Tax / VAT / Corporate Tax Knowledge: 3+ years
• Upcoming e-invoicing policy in the UAE
• Open ERP software: 2+ years
• Microsoft Excel proficiency: Expert

Language:

• English (Required)
• Additional languages will be an added advantage
