Position: Accounts and Payroll Executive
Location: Dubai, UAE
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically minded Account and Payroll Executive to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of financial operations and cash management. You will own day-to-day financial tasks such as petty cash management and payroll support, while also building reports, calculating commissions, and delivering actionable insights through Advanced Excel modelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Excel
· Design and maintain complex Excel workbooks using PivotTables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and dynamic array formulas
· Build automated dashboards and management reports for weekly, monthly, and quarterly review cycles
Petty Cash Management
· Manage and reconcile the petty cash fund on a daily/weekly basis
· Record all petty cash transactions accurately in the accounting system
· Prepare petty cash vouchers, obtain appropriate approvals, and maintain physical/digital receipts
· Replenish petty cash as required and submit reconciliation reports to the Finance Manager
Payroll Support
· Assist in the end-to-end payroll process - data collection, calculations, and verification
· Maintain and update payroll data including attendance, deductions, overtime, and leaves
· Coordinate with the HR department to ensure payroll inputs are accurate and submitted on time
· Support payroll audits and resolve discrepancies with relevant stakeholders
Commission Calculations
· Calculate incentive payouts accurately based on approved structures.
· Maintain commission trackers in Excel, ensuring formulas are audit-ready and transparent
· Liaise with the teams managers to verify targets, achievements, and payout schedules
· Prepare commission statements and submit for approval prior to disbursement
Financial Reporting & Analysis
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial and operational reports
· Support month-end and year-end close activities by providing accurate financial data
· Present findings in clear, visual formats (charts, summary tables, executive snapshots)
Requirements and Skillsets:
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
· Professional certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus but not mandatory
Experience
· Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a finance, accounts, or similar roles as financial analyst/accountant role
· Demonstrated experience in petty cash handling, payroll processing, and commission calculations
· Proven track record of building reports and dashboards for management
Technical Knowledge and Skills
· Advanced Microsoft Excel — mandatory (PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas, macros/VBA is a plus)
· Accounting, ERP software or Similar (e.g. SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, Zoho Books, or similar)
· MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
· Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is good but not essential.
