1. Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans for all pharmacy outlets and central operations.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and report variances with corrective actions.
- Support management with financial insights for expansion, branch profitability, and new store feasibility studies.
2. Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including payables, receivables, reconciliations, and general ledger.
- Ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
- Manage closing activities and ensure timely submission of MIS reports.
3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor daily cash flow and maintain optimal liquidity for operations.
- Manage vendor payments, credit terms, and collection follow-ups.
- Optimize inventory financing, credit limits, and banking relationships.
4. Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, VAT, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary schedules/documentation.
- Maintain strong internal controls to prevent leakage, fraud, or non-compliance.
5. Inventory & Cost Control
- Work with supply chain, warehouse, and store teams to reduce stock variance, damage, wastage, and expired items.
- Set standard procedures for stock audits, GRN verification, and stock valuation.
- Analyze product margins, vendor discounts, price variations, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
6. Retail Pharmacy Operations Support
- Analyze outlet-wise profitability, sales performance, GP%, expense ratios, and operational efficiency.
- Review credit sales, insurance claims, and outstanding receivables.
- Support decisions on promotions, pricing strategy, and product mix.
7. System & Process Improvements
- Implement financial SOPs and automation across accounting, inventory, and retail POS systems.
- Improve workflow between accounts, warehouse, and operations teams.
- Ensure data accuracy in ERP/POS systems (e.g., TruePOS, Zoho Books, Tally, etc.).
8. Team Leadership
- Supervise and develop the finance/accounts team.
- Allocate tasks, review work, and ensure team productivity and accuracy.
- Provide training on financial policies, reporting standards, and system usage
