Accounts & Finance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts & Finance Manager to join our client's real estate operations in Ajman on a contract basis. The role will focus on managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Accounting and Reporting:·

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.

Revenue Management:

  • Develop and implement revenue management strategies to enhance profitability and occupancy rates.
  • Conduct regular market research to inform and adjust rental rates effectively.
  • Ensure optimal pricing and inventory allocation for holiday homes to maximize revenue.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of booking channels .
  • Employ dynamic pricing models to adapt to fluctuations in demand and competition.
  • Generate regular financial reports to track revenue performance and pinpoint growth opportunities.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity to meet the company's operational needs.
  • Develop strategies to optimize cash flow, including working capital management and cash forecasting.

Streamline Accounting Processes & Governance:

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial workflows by implementing standardized accounting principles, harmonized reporting structures, and cohesive operational controls across all Durrani Group entities. Ensure alignment with internal SOPs, cross-department workflows, and regulatory requirements to achieve accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Implement cost control measures to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.

Taxation and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and filing requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Inter-Company Coordination & Integration:

  • Establish strong financial connectivity between group companies through unified chart of accounts, intercompany reconciliations, standardized documentation, and automated reporting tools. Act as the central point of coordination for shared financial operations to support seamless business continuity and timely decision-making.

Financial Strategy and Advisory:

  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to the senior management team.
  • Support business development initiatives and evaluate financial implications of new projects.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure effective collaboration and communication within the finance team and across departments.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Compliance & Controls:

  • Enforce Internal Audit readiness by maintaining documentation discipline, regulatory compliance, and performance monitoring to support clean, audit- ready records and strong financial governance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years’ experience in an accounting/auditing/consulting firm preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices and VAT regulations.
  • Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks, Zoho, etc.).
  • CPA, CMA, CA or ACCA preferred
