Accounts Intern

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Intern to join our finance team. This internship is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who want to build a strong foundation in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting in a professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and recording journal entries and ledger postings
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Assist in bank reconciliation and financial record matching
• Help maintain petty cash records and expense tracking
• Support payroll processing and salary calculations
• Assist in preparing basic financial reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement)
• Work on accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions under supervision
• Assist in tax-related documentation (NTN, withholding tax, sales tax, FBR compliance)
• Perform data entry and reporting tasks using Microsoft Excel

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (B.Com, BBA Finance, BS Accounting & Finance, etc.)
• Fresh graduate or up to 6 months of relevant experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping
• Familiarity with financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement)

Technical Skills:

• Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial processes
• Knowledge of journal entries, ledger posting, AP/AR, and bank reconciliation
• Familiarity with petty cash handling and payroll basics
• Understanding of accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions
• Basic knowledge of taxation (NTN, withholding tax, sales tax, FBR compliance)
• SUM, IF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• Basic Pivot Tables
• Data filtering, sorting, and simple reporting

Software Knowledge (Preferred)

• QuickBooks
• Sage 50 / Peachtree
• Basic exposure to ERP systems (preferred but not required)
