Accounts Manager

Kuala, India

The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, managing budgets, handling client billing, vendor payments, project costing, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the interior design or construction industry and a strong grasp of project-based accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, costing, and profitability analysis.
  • Prepare client invoices and ensure timely collections.
  • Coordinate with vendors for timely payments and maintain vendor accounts.
  • Maintain and update records in accounting software.
  • Work closely with the procurement and project teams to track material costs and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks as required.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and best practices to streamline accounting processes.
  • Forecast cash flow and manage funds efficiently to support ongoing projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience in accounting, preferably in the interior design, architecture, or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of project accounting, taxation, and financial compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
