Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to lead and manage the accounting operations of our travel agency. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, excellent organizational skills, and demonstrated hands-on experience with Orbis accounting software and Microsoft Excel. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of all financial processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily accounting operations, including:
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Bank and account reconciliations
- General ledger maintenance
- Invoicing and credit management
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
- Maintain the integrity of financial data in Orbis , ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and in real-time.
- Leverage Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and data modeling (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs).
- Monitor and manage company cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy related to bookings, supplier payments, commissions, and receivables.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions as needed.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the travel & Tourism industry
- Mandatory proficiency in Orbis accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, data analysis, and automation tools.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, and financial regulations.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling multi-currency transactions and international supplier payments.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
