Accounts Officer (Male)

Position Title: Accounts Officer
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: Principal / Director
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing the school's day-to-day financial and accounting operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely processing of transactions, fee management, payroll support, and compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting ledgers.
  • Record daily financial transactions, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts regularly.
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.

School Fee Management

  • Generate and manage student fee invoices and records.
  • Monitor fee collections and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Maintain accurate fee collection reports and student financial records.
  • Coordinate with parents and administration regarding fee-related matters.

Payroll Administration

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll.
  • Verify attendance, deductions, allowances, and other payroll-related information.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee compensation data.

Budgeting & Financial Reporting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Provide financial data and reports to management as required.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to approved budgets.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Ensure compliance with school financial policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
  • Prepare financial documents required by auditors and regulatory authorities.

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments.
  • Maintain records of school purchases and expenditures.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding payments and account reconciliations.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized financial files and records.
  • Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Assist in developing and improving financial processes and controls.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, BBA (Finance), or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in an educational institution.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.

Location: School Campus
Reports To: Finance Manager / Principal / Director

Preferred Candidate: Male candidate with strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage financial operations efficiently within a school environment.

Pay: From Rs50,000.00 per month
