Accounts Payable

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable functions across farm operations and affiliated support businesses. This role ensures accurate financial processing, supports reporting activities, and helps maintain efficient inventory and supply systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable for all assigned operations
• Maintain compliance with organic certification requirements, including accurate documentation for all farm-related payables
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly budget-to-actual reports
• Monitor and track well repair expenses
• Track repairs and maintenance costs for equipment and company housing
• Oversee and maintain a supply ordering system to ensure timely availability of essential inventory
• Monitor inventory usage and maintain accurate valuation records
• Collaborate with the dairy maintenance manager to coordinate bi-monthly supply orders
• Process and manage weekly purchase orders and sales transactions for supplies and parts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong technical aptitude
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Sound judgment and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and persuasively
• Experience with CenterPoint accounting software preferred

Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
