Accounts Payable

Job Brief:

The Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable functions including invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and payment coordination. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and basic knowledge of VAT compliance and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and verify supplier invoices in line with company policies
• Perform invoice matching with LPO and GRN (3-way matching)
• Perform vendor statement reconciliation
• Identify and prevent duplicate or incorrect payments
• Ensure accurate data entry and timely posting of invoices
• Handle vendor queries and maintain good supplier relationships
• Assist in preparing payment runs and tracking due payments
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of all AP transactions
• Verify VAT details and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations
• Support internal and external audit requirements

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in GCC , out of it at least 1 year in Accounts Payable in Construction industry within UAE (Must Have)

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Proficiency in MS Excel (filters, VLOOKUP, basic reconciliation)
• Understanding of AP processes and invoice lifecycle (Must Have)

Core Competencies

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy (Must Have)
• Good communication skills for vendor coordination
• Ability to manage multiple invoices and deadlines
• Basic understanding of VAT and compliance requirements

Job Location: Dubai

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full Time

Salary: AED 5000 – 7000/Month
