Accounts Payable Analyst

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ANALYST

General purpose of this job is to process financial activity for each property and corporate office. Ensure the timely and accurate processing of information, and to communicate effectively with on-site staff, vendors and management. Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

• Review invoices and check requests
• Sort and match invoices and check requests
• Set up and/or edit invoices for payment
• Confirm and approve vendor codes, invoice numbers and invoice dates
• Review invoices for Property Manager and Accountant approvals
• Process check requests
• Prepare and process accounts payable checks
• Coordinate with property management and accounting for release of checks as needed
• Match checks with vendor invoices, confirming accuracy of vendor, payee and address
• Prepare checks for mailing
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Resolve invoice discrepancies
• Coordinate new vendor information with on-site staff
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• Process security deposit refunds

• Experience with of accounts payable
• Effective working knowledge of Excel and/or other spreadsheet applications, Microsoft office products, real-estate accounting software a plus, Yardi Systems experience preferred
• 1-3 years accounts payable and general accounting experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
