SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Auditor position is responsible for auditing payables, and verifying prices are accurate and accounts are paid in a timely manner. This position has access to highly sensitive financial information and business plans of the company, and requires a high level of discretion and absolute confidentiality in regard to confidential business information and trade secrets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Accounts Payable Auditor duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for auditing payables for properties in a timely manner, in accordance with established procedures, including, but not limited to:

Audit of Checks, Invoices and Purchase Orders.

Audit of construction Purchase Orders, Contracts and Change Orders for construction projects.

Audit Utility Worksheets.
-
Audit Purchase Order for Petty Cash requests.
-
Resolve vendor problems when pricing discrepancies are found, for any other types of discrepancies, please notify the Accounts Payable Manager.

Follow manager’s instructions and directions as necessary to ensure efficiency of operations.

Compliance with applicable rules and procedures.
-
Provide Accounts Payable Manager with monthly report of findings.

Assist with Accounts Payable training.

Promptly and courteously handle telephone and email communications directed to you.

Provide excellent customer service to all Garden Communities personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year or more accounts payable or related work experience and/or training is required.
- Bachelors’ Degree in accounting or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to sit and operate standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, copiers, scanner, and do filing. May be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
COMMUNICATIONS:
- Must be able to communicate effectively (orally and written) in a professional manner on a regular basis with management and co-workers within the company as well as residents and outside vendors. Works well as part of a team. Follows instructions and responds to management’s direction. Takes constructive criticism and uses it as a learning tool.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY:
- Is reliable and consistently at work and on time; willing to travel and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

- Travel may be required within the Southern California Region.

Pay Range: $31.72-$39.25
