Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team and help implement a new accounting system. This role is crucial in managing the company’s financial obligations, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction accounts payable, accounting principles and experience with various accounting software.

Duties

  • Process construction accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, including verifying invoices
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Create and collect proper lien waivers
  • Utilize accounting software such as Sage Intacct and Procore Construction Management for data entry and reporting.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction accounts payable is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as Sage Intacct and Procore, preferred, but we are willing to train.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
